MAKING THE CASE FOR LEGAL EDUCATION AND EXPLAINING THE IMPACT AND IMPORTANCE OF GIVING
The discussion group, consisting of five current deans, one former dean, and an assistant dean for alumni relations and development had an excellent discussion ranging over three principal topics: (1) the challenges of creating a culture of giving among recent graduates and strategies for doing so; (2) responding to commonly asked alumni questions relating to the requisite payments of the law school to support the university (“overhead”) and other university policies that impact law school finances; and (3) responding to commonly asked alumni questions pertaining to law school expenditures and the value of legal education.
