The New Scholars Committee is accepting nominations for New Scholars through November 15. Nominations may be made by a dean or associate dean by email to Russ Weaver (email@example.com) and/or Missy Lonegrass (firstname.lastname@example.org) or directly via our online portal on the SEALS website: http://sealslawschools.org/submissions/newscholars/entryform.asp.
The New Scholars Program welcomes newer and beginning law professors and more experienced, but untenured scholars who wish to present their work in a welcoming and supportive environment and receive feedback from a mentor with expertise in their field. New Scholars nominees will be assigned to a panel based upon the subject matter of their presentation and are afforded 30 minutes to present and receive comments/feedback on their work. Presentations may be made on research at any stage and participants are not required to present a paper. The program includes a luncheon and a happy hour designed to provide New Scholars with opportunities to network with their peers and senior scholars in their fields.
